Version History
What's new in each release of Health Data Widgets.
Version 1.1
June 2026
Lock Screen support, multi-metric widgets, and per-surface appearance settings.
- Lock Screen complications. Add Health Data Widgets to your Lock Screen in all three styles: circular, rectangular, and inline. Both Steps and Distance work in every slot.
- Multi-metric widget. A new Home Screen widget (Small and Medium) that shows two metrics at once — pick which goes in each slot.
- In-app widget gallery. Browse every widget size with live previews before you add it to your Home Screen, plus a mock Lock Screen card showing how the complications look in context.
- Appearance settings. Position the value at the top, middle, or bottom of the widget, and align it left, centered, or right. Pick a text color from seven presets for Home Screen widgets.
- Separate Home Screen and Lock Screen settings. Each surface has its own appearance page so you can tune them independently.
- Help section. Per-surface guides for adding and configuring Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
- Fix: Lock Screen circular complication now shows "5.2 km" / "3.2 mi" with a proper space between the number and the unit.
- Fix: The widget heading follows your horizontal alignment setting along with the value.
Version 1.0
May 2026 — initial release
The first public release. Bring your most-watched Apple Health data out of the Health app and onto your Home Screen.
- Today's Steps and Distance. A clean Home Screen widget in three sizes (Small, Medium, Large) that shows today's step count or walking + running distance from Apple Health.
- Configurable per widget. Long-press a widget to pick what it shows — Steps or Distance. Each widget instance keeps its own setting, so you can have both on screen at once.
- iPhone and iPad. Universal, light and dark mode, locale-aware units (km / mi).
- English and German. Full localization throughout the app and widgets.
- Show or hide the heading. A Settings toggle removes the "STEPS" or "DISTANCE" label if you want just the number.
- Built to feel like Apple Health. Bold pink numbers on a clean adaptive background. No clutter.
- Read-only and private. Read-only access to Apple Health; no network requests, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device.
