Privacy Policy
Effective: 20 May 2026 · Last updated: 20 May 2026
Health Data Widgets is built to be private by default. The short version: we don't collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Ever.
What data the app accesses
The app reads selected data from Apple Health via Apple's HealthKit framework, with your explicit permission, granted via the iOS system prompt when you first tap Enable Health Access. As of today the app reads:
- Step count (today's total)
- Walking + Running distance (today's total)
The app does not write to Apple Health. Apple's privacy rules require us to declare a write-permission string even though we never use it; the iOS permission sheet may mention "update" wording for that reason. Our HealthKit calls only request read access.
Where the data goes
It stays on your device. The values you see in the app and on the widget are read from Apple Health and cached locally in an App Group container so the widget can render even when the app isn't running. We do not transmit this data anywhere — not to our servers, not to any third party, not to anyone.
The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking frameworks, no advertising libraries, no crash-reporting services beyond Apple's built-in (anonymous) reports that the system handles directly with Apple.
What we collect
Nothing. We have no servers, no user accounts, no email lists. We don't see or collect any data about you. If you email us for support, we'll have your email address and the contents of that email — nothing more.
Third parties
The app uses no third-party services, SDKs, libraries, or APIs other than Apple's own (HealthKit, WidgetKit, SwiftUI). Apple may collect anonymous usage data per their own platform policies; that's outside our control. See Apple's Privacy Policy for those details.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for users of any age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
You can revoke the app's Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Apple Health → Data Access & Devices → Health Data Widgets. Deleting the app removes the cached values from your device immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and describe the change. The latest version always lives at hdw.fn11.net/privacy.html.
